So as I've been bragging to cbr-rider about I went on a ride to Huntington Lake on Saturday. It was really awesome. However, I dropped my bike while parked twice due to stupid kickstand malfunctions...and as you all know I just finished fixing it from a similar mishap. However, both droppings were my fault for not paying enough attention so whatever I'll just fix it again. Luckily I still had a spare mirror from my last repair!
The ride was awesome-about 5 hours in total. We had a total of 9 sportbikes: A Ninja 250r (thechamp2987), my CBR 600F2, an R6, an R1, two Gixxer 600s, two CBR 600RRs, and a CBR 1000RR.
The CBR 1000RR had a minor crash due to inexperience, but the damage was minimal and he kept on going with us and gained a lot of knowledge and experience for the next ride.
On the way up we raced a Nissan Skyline GTR (one of the new ones) and we beat it! Whoop. However, it was a beautiful and awesome car and actually gave us a run for our money.
The ride was great all in all and is the best one I've ever been on. I'm trying to plan another one for my last ride of the summer so we'll see how that goes. Without further ado, here are some pictures and videos....
If you guys have further questions about the ride or whatever just ask on here! I'll be glad to provide more details.
All of the above pictures were taken at about the 75% point of the ride at Shaver Lake.
And this video was taken at the apex of the ride-the destination, whatever you wanna call it. Huntington Lake, CA. Weather was nice, ride was nicer.
