| i made this for now the engine mount above the carbon piece is what i want to do next and on the other side to. all i would need to do is trace it on different sides of the carbon fiber and just switch it around, trace it and cut. oh and i used flash if you didn't notice the part does not stand out like that at all! it just looks black. | |

| okay i finished the frame mounts, they weren't as easy to make as i thought they would be. so like i said i had to make duplicates of they same piece but turned them around. if you look at them you will know what i mean this time around i used thicker carbon fiber. roughly 1.5 mm carbon fiber instead of 0.5 mm. i will post more pictures when I'm completely done and they are installed. | |

| no no its just covering the mounts i was going to make the full mounts out of solid carbon fiber but the resin can only withstand 400 degrees and the mounts get that hot easy if i went with it the resin would disfigure over like two rides. right now i went on 4 rides and they are looking just fine even from extreme heat as far as strong it is double the thickness that i bought before. the carbon fiber i bought is med temp so it can be used for exhaust wrapping. i also have thick enough carbon for making solid parts the pieces very but my thickest pieces are just under a centimeter thick, its very strong i was thinking of making a muffler bracket? to match my exhaust not sure though.

| Man those look really good! You're making me jealous now. All I have are carbon fiber mirrors and hopefully some levers to match soon. Now I wanna get some carbon fiber and cover my triple tree, front brake fluid reservoir, and make some cool brackets like you! Keep em coming...btw that sucks if you go with full bodywork again cause you won't be able to see most of these! | |

| thanks for the compliments yeah i also thought about that to if i were to put on body work, so I'm not gonna. anything you want i can make it for you by the way if you want anything. i have a ton of carbon fiber now and I'm getting a lot better making parts with it. | |

| Lol well whaddya know you already have all those parts on your bike! And I must say they look good which makes me want them more. $65 is definitely a fair price. I will let you know when I want them cause right now I'm saving up for some other stuff. I'm adding these to my shopping list tho! | |

| Oh and BTW I polished all the parts up there on the handlebars...they are no longer black but a polished stainless look. Do you think it will look weird with carbon fiber on stainless? | |

| yeah man i actually was going to polish my master cylinder cover but the gay " use dot 4 brake fluid not dot 3 and some japan people writing " bull crap letters would be a pain in the arse to get the black paint out, so i didn't yet but in the first picture i started polishing around the carbon fiber on the triple clamp nut area you can see it does look better than black. anyways i would have suggested you have it polished or something cause the black triple tree clamps paint gets chips and scratches from keys ( thats what made me put on the carbon fiber piece ) so yeah. anyways most of my bikes carbon fiber is right next to or near stainless steel, they are very popular materials to mix, and i think they will look just fine together on your bike when you decide you want them. | |

| Sweet man well I'm glad we're on the same page cause I was thinking that it would look good too. Ya know those letters weren't really that hard to get the paint out of. I didn't make any extra effort. I used a bench grinder with a not so coarse wheel and then polished with a buffing wheel. | |

| oh really that seems easy enough i guess. i don't have a buffing wheel though but i own a lot of metal polish stuff so with about an hour or so i can have some nice polished parts. | |

| sure as long as there's a nice flat surface i can do that i think. the master cylinder should be easy on your bike cause its like the same thing. | |

| do you have an f2 or an xj? I sold mine and purchased a cbr 600rr so I can't really make another one without a flat cut out of the pieces you want done. other than that, since I have quite a bit of carbon fiber, I can do both the master cylinder reservoir cover and triple clamp cover for about $40 if you want some made.
