PostSubject: bought fiaring   bought fiaring EmptyWed Jun 17, 2009 9:01 am

so i finally purchased a cbr 600 f2 upper race fairing for my bike it doesn't have the slots for signals so i can drill holes out and fit mine which kicks ass . i do have the side fairings to, but it will take a while to take the decals off them sand them, paint and drill holes find screws make brackets...... and i really like my headlights so what i will be doing is taking my hid headlights and a sheet of aluminum and i will cut holes to snug fit the headlights in and just put the fairing over them, or be lazy and through it over without doing anything which is what i attended to do, but im not, because it set me back $170 bucks so i'll do it right this time and yeah maybe i'll have a full fairing bike by the summer! here is what it would look like without the sides on but i will end up putting them on.bought fiaring 2009_010

yup turns out the damb thing didn't fit after all! none of the holes or even parts on the fairing lined up, what a fun time this has been! Very Happy i think i'm done trying for a while or until i sell my bike cause its just a waste of my time and money, and i really don't care anymore i think my bike looks just fine. i just thought maybe i could get my fairings on....i guess not. yeah dad bought a windshield i think.

okay here is an update picture, of it. i took off the useless tabs and sanded the hole thing i also drilled holes for my clear turn signals, upon redoing everything that i did four weeks ago! with headlights and brackets...you name it. so its paint time soon good thing it already has a thick coat of primer on. i just bought some gloss black paint today and i think its ready alien bought fiaring Fairin10

so i finished making the fairing ....and it looked retarded....so i'm not gonna use it Very Happy I'd rather make some carbon fiber parts instead. cool thing is, the fairing was never supposed to come because i canceled the order so i got my money back...$255 so if i ever decide to use it again? i won't. but you get the idea anyways...
